Saratoga Motorsports Park is doing everything we can to keep our visitors and staff safe during the pandemic. By following stringent Provincial and Federal guidelines and by observing the regulations in place and keeping up to any changes, we will do our part to end the pandemic and to mitigate opportunities for exposure throughout the park.
The current orders restrict us from holding any events and we cannot yet put any spectators in the bleachers which is the reason why we are also not publishing a schedule. As soon as we have an indication that the Province will be easing restrictions enough to open we’ll post an event schedule.
You can find information and links to the latest BC COVID regulations orders and guidelines here:

Entry to the speedway is through the iron gates and past the ticket booths. There is a hand-sanitizing station at the entrance as well as in the washroom facilities. The Grandstands are presently closed however we expect that VIHA will soon authorize opening some of the bleachers for operations in support of go-carts, monster truck rides, and for diners when we are approved to open a concession and “patio”. Distancing will be enforced; there’s plenty of room in our bleachers to maintain effective distancing and our host will help visitors find appropriate seating individually and within small groups. Pedestrian traffic is directional we ask that visitors follow the signs and direction of our hosts in order to maintain safe distancing for everyone.
Our main and pizza concessions are anticipated to be open on the long-weekend in May. The menu is available online:
Ordering can be carried out in person or online
Orders can be picked-up at the concession window for enjoyment as take-out or “patio-dining” on the bleachers. The concession will be sanitized at all touch-points regularly and visitors are separated from concession staff at the window by a Plexiglas barrier.
Saratoga Speedway visitors’ restroom facilities are under an enhanced hygienic protocol schedule; common touch points are disinfected regularly and hand sanitizer is available in each facility.
Go Karts and monster truck touch points are disinfected after each use; helmets are fogged with disinfectant after each use and visitors will purchase a disposable mandatory hairnet bonnet ($0.50) for use under the safety helmet. Visitors are welcome to bring their own helmet, driving gloves.
Access will be via the McCauley Road gate only; the Highway 19 gate will remain closed. Participants will enter the speedway grounds and proceed to the right around behind the track to the new back gate entrance and remain in their vehicles to await pit entry procedures.
All hauler drivers must wear a mask while speaking with the gatekeeper who will also wear a mask. Mask can be removed after being granted access to the track and out of the presence of the gatekeeper but kept handy for when social distancing is impossible or impractical. A staff member will confirm your registration waiver and social agreement form prior to being granted entry to the pits.
Along with the hygienic protocols already listed regarding washrooms, entry and concessions, there are several considerations specific to using the track surface and infield. Details regarding contact-free registration, digital waivers, and participant social agreement can be found here:
Participants are encouraged to use our online digital forms to help avoid unnecessary direct contact. In order to maximize participation we request you limit your crews to three including the driver. Pit stalls will be assigned and there will be at least one blank pit between each occupied pit. Congregating in groups larger than 10 is prohibited and participants are expected to maintain social distancing and if distancing is impossible wearing a mask is compulsory. Participants may bring food and hydration into their pit however alcohol and cannabis is strictly forbidden anywhere in the park with the exception of the
R-Ace Gardens and RV camp.
The Speedway school will operate throughout the season helping train drivers in preparation for a career in motorsports!
School cars are disinfected between uses and both instructor and student will wear appropriate PPE whenever social distancing is impossible and whenever driving together in a vehicle.
For obvious health reasons any participant’s deviation from posted regulations must result in their immediate removal from the facility at the discretion of Saratoga Speedway officials. There will be no acceptations.
